Frida Kahlo

I have always known about Frida Kahlo’s existence… but it was until I was older in school when I started to look more into her work and life. I am pretty sure that you have seen her or heard of her… I hope so! if not, this post will help you to know a little bit more about her. Everything I will write about her I’ve learned it through the years, films, books, and the web. She was probably one of the most famous female artist in this world’s history. Her paintings are mostly self portraits, she once said “I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best.” She was able to say SO MUCH in SO MANY different ways with the subject being herself.

“Who needs feet? I’ve got wings to fly”

Siempre he sabido de la existencia de Frida Kahlo… pero fue hasta que estaba más grande de edad en la escuela cuando empecé a ver más su trabajo y su vida. Estoy segura de que la has visto u oído hablar de ella… bueno eso espero! si no, este post te va a ayudar a saber un poco más de ella. Todo lo que voy a escribir sobre ella lo he aprendido a través de los años, las películas, los libros, y el internet. Probablemente ella fue una de las artistas femeninas más famosas en la historia del  mundo. La mayoría de sus pinturas son autorretratos, una vez dijo: “Me pinto porque estoy a menudo sola y porque soy el tema que mejor conozco.” Ella fue capaz de decir tantas cosas de muchas maneras diferentes siendo ella su propia modelo.

Her name was Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo and was born on july 6 of 1907 at “La Casa Azul” (the blue house) in Coyoacan, Mexico. Daughter of Wilhelm Kahlo (german) and Matilde Calderon (mexican). When she was 9 years old, she suffered of polio leaving her right leg injured. At age 16 she joined the “Escuela Preparatoria Nacional”, reserved for the mexican elite. While attending school, she secretly admired Diego Rivera’s work. After a few years, she suffered a very serious accident that caused her many fractures and internal injuries. She was required to be in bed for a long time and this is when she started to paint; it was through painting that she expressed the fight of her existance. Well, she survived, and then she joined the “Partido Comunista Mexicano” (Mexican Communist Party) where she met Diego Rivera and married in 1929. If you don’t know who Diego Rivera is, I feel sorry for you haha… just google him.

Su nombre era Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y nació el 06 de julio de 1907 en ” La Casa Azul” en Coyoacán, México. Hija de Guillermo Kahlo (alemán) y Matilde Calderón(mexicana). Cuando tenía 9 años de edad, sufrió de polio que le dejó su pierna derecha herida. A los 16 años se unió a la “Escuela Preparatoria Nacional”, reservada a la élite mexicana. Mientras asistió a la escuela, fue admiradora secreta del trabajo de Diego Rivera. Después de unos años, sufrió un accidente muy grave que le causó muchas fracturas y lesiones internas. Tuvo que estar en la cama por mucho tiempo y fue cuando empezó a pintar; fue a través de la pintura que expresó la lucha de su existencia. Bueno pues sobrevivió, y luego se unió al Partido Comunista Mexicano donde conoció a Diego Rivera y se casaron en 1929. Si no sabes quien es Diego Rivera, siento lástima por ti jaja… buscalo en google .

Anyway, they traveled around the United States a lot because of Diego’s work, he was a famous painter. She had a miscarriage in Detroit while Diego was painting for the Art Institute and it was right before he started painting at the Rockefeller Center in New York. After a few years of traveling they finally moved back to Mexico. This is when things got weird, and a lot of people talk crap about their marriage… well yeah. Diego started a relationship with Frida’s sister (while being married), so Frida also started a relationship with Isamu Noguchi (japanese artist). At this time, Frida and Diego offered their house to Leon Trotsky and his wife (during the exile). Frida and Trotsky ended up being lovers. All this time, Frida was painting, it was in 1938 when she had her first exhibit in New York and she also started her new romance with the photographer Nickolas Muray. The next year on 1939, Frida and Diego finally got divorced and remarried in 1940. During the next years of her life, she had many health issues and spinal surgeries, her health got worse at the end. She died on july 13th of 1954. After three years of her death, Diego died and their blue house opened doors to the public as Museo Frida Kahlo (Frida Kahlo Museum).

Bueno, pues ellos viajaron mucho por Estados Unidos a causa del trabajo de Diego, quien fue un pintor famoso. Frida tuvo un aborto involuntario en Detroit, mientras que Diego pintaba para el Instituto de Arte y también fue justo antes de que él comenzara a pintar en el Rockefeller Center de Nueva York. Después de viajar por algunos años por fin regresaron a México. Aquí es cuando las cosas se pusieron raras, y mucha gente sigue hablando sobre su matrimonio hasta la fecha… por obvias razones. Diego comenzó una relación con la hermana de Frida (seguían casados), por lo que Frida también comenzó una relación con Isamu Noguchi (artista japonés). En este momento también Frida y Diego ofrecieron refugio en su casa a León Trotsky y esposa (en el exilio). Frida y Trotsky terminaron siendo amantes. Durante todo este tiempo, Frida pintaba, fue en 1938 cuando tuvo su primera exposición en Nueva York y también cuando comenzó un nuevo romance con el fotógrafo Nicolas Muray. Al año siguiente en 1939, Frida y Diego finalmente se divorciaron y se volvieron a casar en 1940. Durante los próximos años de su vida, ella tuvo muchos problemas de salud y operaciones en la columna vertebral, su salud empeoró al final. Murió el 13 de julio de 1954. Después de tres años de su muerte, Diego murió y la casa azul abrió las puertas al público como Museo Frida Kahlo.

Being married to an artist had its pros and cons; she was always overshadowed by Diego’s work. However, she became very famous and had many exhibits around the world. They were always on and off. She had SO MUCH love for him despite everything. She once said: “I have suffered two grave accidents in my life: one in which a streetcar knocked me down…the other accident is Diego.” She always stood by him NO MATTER WHAT.
After surviving two traumatizing accidents, Frida was left with lifelong health issues; polio, fractured bones, and miscarriages. All of these events left her with agonizing scars; physically and mentally. You might found some of her paintings disturbing, but she only painted her own reality. She never let these complications stopped her from doing what she deeply loved; painting. While sick in bed, she found ways to paint. She once said, “I’m not sick. I’m broken. But I am happy as long as I paint.” This has been a great example to me. When you are truly committed to your work or something, obstacles will never kept you from walking forward.
Frida was a feminist, a fighter for equality, a driven woman full of confidence.

Estando casada con un artista tuvo sus pros y contras; siempre estuvo bajo la sombra del trabajo de Diego. Sin embargo, se hizo muy famosa y tuvo muchas exposiciones en todo el mundo. Tuvieron una relación rara, pero a pesar de todo ella tuvo mucho amor por él. Ella dijo una vez: “He sufrido dos accidentes graves en mi vida: uno en el que un tranvía me tumbo al suelo … el otro accidente es Diego.” Ella siempre estuvo a su lado sin importar que.
Después de sobrevivir dos accidentes traumáticos, Frida siempre tuvo problemas de salud toda la vida; polio, huesos fracturados, y abortos involuntarios. Todos estos eventos la dejaron con cicatrices agonizantes; tanto físicas como mentalmente. Probablemente pienses que algunas de sus pinturas son raras, pero ella sólo pintó su propia realidad. Nunca dejó que estas complicaciones le impidieran hacer lo que ella amaba profundamente; pintar. Aun en la cama enferma, siempre encontró maneras de seguir pintando. Ella dijo una vez: “Yo no estoy enferma. Estoy rota. Pero estoy feliz mientras pinto.” Este ha sido un gran ejemplo para mí. Cuando verdaderamente estás comprometido con tu trabajo o algo, los obstáculos nunca te impedirán seguir adelante.
Frida fue una feminista, luchadora por la igualdad, una mujer impulsada llena de confianza.

History of photograhy: Tina Modotti podcast

I have always been a fan of art podcasts. I found Jeff Curto’s podcasts (about history of photography) a few years ago when I was still in art school, and since then I check them out once in a while. A few weeks ago I saw that his latest one was about Tina Modotti and I knew I needed to share about it.

Siempre he sido fan de los podcasts de arte. Encontré los podcasts de Jeff Curto (historia de fotografía) hace algunos años, cuando todavía estaba en la escuela de arte, y desde entonces los escucho de vez en cuando. Hace unas semanas vi que su último era sobre Tina Modotti y supe que tenía que escribir al respecto.

Tina Modotti was an italian photographer, model, actress and a revolutionary political activist in Mexico. She emigrated to the United States to join her father where they lived in San Francisco, California. After that, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she did some modeling and met the talented photographer Edward Weston (another one of my favorites). They ended up being lovers. Weston taught her photography, they moved to Mexico and their work in the 1920’s marked the beginning of a modernist photographic aesthetic, specially in the history of photography in Mexico. While living in Mexico she joined the Mexican Communist Party, and the focus of her work became politically motivated. She also became the photographer by choice to document the work of the muralists Jose Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera.

Tina Modotti fue una fotógrafa italiana, modelo, actriz, activista y luchadora social en México. Emigró a los Estados Unidos con su papá en donde vivieron en San Francisco, California. Después de eso, se mudó a Los Ángeles, California, donde hizo algunos trabajos como modelo y en donde conoció al talentoso fotógrafo Edward Weston (otro de mis favoritos). Terminaron siendo amantes. Weston le enseñó fotografía, después se mudaron a México y su trabajo en la década de 1920 marcó el inicio de una etapa especial en la historia de la fotografía en México. Mientras vivió en México se unió al Partido Comunista Mexicano, y el enfoque de su trabajo se convirtio en la política. También se convirtió en la fotógrafa del trabajo de los muralistas José Clemente Orozco y Diego Rivera.

You probably know by now why I am a fan of Modotti’s work; she watched the mexican people, their condition and their revolution.

Probablemente ya sabes por qué soy fan del trabajo de Modotti; vio al pueblo mexicano, su condición y su revolución.

5 artists that have influenced and inspired me

Through the years I have learned to appreciate art from different artists: visual, painters, musicians, cinematographers, sculptors, etc.
My favorite artists are the ones that at some point on my creative process have inspired me.

A través de los años he aprendido a apreciar el arte de diferentes artistas: visuales, pintores, músicos, cineastas, escultores, etc.
Mis artistas favoritos son los que en algún momento de mi proceso creativo me han inspirado.

1. Frida Kahlo

She was a mexican painter and feminist icon best known for her self portraits. I won’t talk about her on this post, because she will have her OWN post later. That’s how much I love her work.

Ella fue una pintora mexicana e icono feminista mejor conocida por sus autorretratos. No voy a hablar de ella en este post, porque ella tendrá su propio post después. Tanto así me gusta su trabajo.

2. Claude Monet
I learned about Monet’s beautiful work at school and I actually miss studying his paintings. He was pretty much THE GUY for French impressionist paintings. He lived in Giverny, France; where he began painting landscapes from his properties and lily ponds which became his main subject. It was in 1899 when he began to paint the series of water lilies in large scale that kept him busy for the next 20 years of his life.
I was at the MoMa (Museum of Modern Art) in New York City when I saw his water lilies and other paintings for the first time. It was a very emotional moment for me, I am not sure why… but I almost cried haha. It was just incredible to be there and look at his paintings after seeing them just online and in books. They are so pretty!

Aprendí acerca del trabajo de Monet en la escuela y de verdad extraño estudiar sus pinturas. Él fue el mero mero de las pinturas impresionistas francesas. Vivió en Giverny, Francia; donde comenzó a pintar paisajes de sus propiedades y estanques de lirios que se convirtieron en su tema principal. Fue en 1899 cuando comenzó a pintar la serie de nenúfares en gran escala que lo mantuvieron ocupado durante los próximos 20 años de su vida.
Estaba en el MoMa (Museo de Arte Moderno) en la ciudad de Nueva York cuando vi sus nenúfares y otras pinturas por primera vez. Fue un momento muy emotivo para mí, no estoy segura por qué… pero casi lloré jaja. Fue simplemente increíble estar allí y ver sus cuadros en persona después de solo verlos en internet y en libros. Son hermosos!

3. Richard Avedon
One of my favorite quotes of all times:
“And if a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. I know that the accident of my being a photographer has made my life possible.”
I was able to attend one of his exhibits in New York City a few years ago. Again, after studying his work at school, being there and seeing his original work was very very cool. I just love that his work it’s so unique and beautiful. For many years he worked for Vogue and became well known for his innovative fashion work often set in peculiar places and for documenting the American Civil Rights Movement. He was also known for his self portraits, and photographing celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol, John F. Kennedy, The Beatles and even Barack Obama back in 2004.

Una de mis citas favoritas:
“Y si pasa un día sin que yo haga algo relacionado con fotografía, es como si he descuidado algo esencial para mi existencia, como si hubiera olvidado despertar. Sé que el accidente de mi ser un fotógrafo ha hecho posible mi vida.” (algo así)
Tuve la oportunidad de ir a una de sus exposiciones en la ciudad de Nueva York hace unos años. Una vez más, después de estudiar su trabajo en la escuela, estar allí y ver sus fotos originales fue muy, muy padre. Me gusta que su trabajo es único y hermoso. Durante muchos años trabajó para Vogue y llegó a ser muy conocido por sus fotografías innovadoras en moda muchas veces en lugares peculiares y por documentar el Movimiento de Derechos Civiles. También fue conocido por sus autorretratos, y fotos de celebridades como Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol, John F. Kennedy, los Beatles e incluso Barack Obama en el 2004 .
   

4. Stefan Segmeister
He is a graphic designer and typographer based in New York City. I first learned about him on my history of graphic design class at UVU. We watched a video about his creative process, and I instantly liked his work because its uniqueness and weirdness. He delivers branding, graphics and packaging for clients like the Rolling Stones, HBO, the Guggenheim Museum, among others.

Diseñador gráfico y tipógrafo con sede en Nueva York. Me enteré de él en mi clase de historia de diseño gráfico en UVU. Vimos un video sobre su proceso creativo, y al instante me gustó su trabajo por su singularidad y rareza. Él hace branding, gráficos y empaques para clientes como los Rolling Stones, HBO, el Museo Guggenheim, entre otros.

5. Rodney Smith
I had the coolest opportunity to visit his house in Palisades, NY a few years ago with other UVU students. I got to see his work and some of his old archives!. He is a fashion and portrait photographer based in NY. I love everything about his work: he uses mainly natural light to illuminate his subjects and shoots mainly in black & white. Three words that would describe his work are classic, minimalistic and whimsical. One of my favorite works: “In the Land of the Light: Israel, a Portrait of It’s People” where he spent 100 days photographing the people of Jerusalem which later became his first published book.

Tuve la padrísima oportunidad de visitar su casa en Palisades, Nueva York hace unos años con otros estudiantes de UVU. Llegué a ver su trabajo y algunos de sus archivos antiguos!. Rodney es un fotógrafo de moda y retratos con sede en Nueva York. Me gusta mucho todo lo relacionado con su trabajo: usa principalmente luz natural y la mayoría de sus fotos son en blanco y negro. Tres palabras que podrían describir su trabajo son clásico, minimalista y encantador. Una de mis obras favoritas: “En la Tierra de la Luz: Israel, un retrato de su gente”, donde pasó 100 días tomando fotos de la gente de Jerusalén, que después se convirtió en su primer libro publicado.

Each of these artists are very different and unique, but they have made a deep impression on my creative process, and will always be grateful I get to know about their work.

Cada uno de estos artistas son muy diferentes y únicos, pero han hecho una profunda impresión en mi proceso creativo, y siempre estaré agradecida de conocer su trabajo.

Pieces of Home

I am very excited to write this post. I have never shared my BFA project on the internet until now. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who helped me to make it possible; my instructors, friends and family… thanks for believing in me.
I worked on this project for about 5 to 7 months. It was a long and stressful process, but with the help of my photography instructors, it happened. This was my final project before my graduation from the School of Arts at UVU.
For the past seven years, I have found places that have made me feel like home… like Mexico. There’s a street in Salt Lake City that I like to drive through, 900 West. Why? because it feels and looks like Mexico! and it makes me happy. I knew I wanted to do something about that feeling, so I decided to make Pieces of Home. It is about showing the american influence in Mexico, and the mexican influence in America, in other words in Utah.
This is a life time project for me because I am going to keep expanding it and working on it. I would like to visit and photograph big cities in United States where mexican people reside and influence, for instance, East LA in California. I will also keep looking for the american influence in Mexico.
I had the opportunity to exhibit this project at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, Utah Valley University Library, SCERA Center for the Arts,  Salt Lake City & County Building and Salt Lake Film Society.

Estoy emocionada de escribir este post. Nunca he compartido mi proyecto de BFA en Internet hasta ahora. En primer lugar, me gustaría dar las gracias a todos los que me ayudaron a hacerlo posible; mis maestros, amigos y familiares … gracias por creer en mí.
Trabaje en este proyecto durante unos 5 a 7 meses. Fue un proceso largo y estresante, pero con la ayuda de mis maestros de fotografía, lo logre. Este fue mi proyecto final antes de mi graduación de la Escuela de Artes de UVU.
Durante los últimos siete años, he encontrado lugares que me han hecho sentir como en casa … como México. Hay una calle en Salt Lake City que me gusta pasar, 900 West. ¿Por qué? porque me hace sentir que estoy en México y también se parece! y eso me hace feliz. Sabía que quería hacer algo acerca de eso, así que me decidí a hacer “Pieces of Home.” Se trata de mostrar la influencia americana en México, y la influencia mexicana en Estados Unidos, es decir, en Utah.
Este es un proyecto de por vida para mí porque voy a seguir trabajando en el. Me gustaría visitar y fotografiar grandes ciudades en Estados Unidos donde hay influencia mexicana, por ejemplo, el este de Los Ángeles, en California. También voy a seguir buscando la influencia americana en México.
Tuve la oportunidad de exhibir este proyecto en el Centro de Celebración Cultural de Utah (Utah Cultural Celebration Center), Biblioteca de Utah Valley University, SCERA Center for the Arts, Salt Lake City & County Building y Salt Lake Film Society.

7 reasons to visit Mexico!

As all of you know by now, I am from Mexico! I was born and raised in Tampico . Even though I have lived in Utah for the past 7 years of my life, Mexico it’s always in my heart for many reasons. Reason #1 and most important, all my family lives in Mexico! but this post it’s not about them. I have decided to write about 7 reasons why YOU should visit this beautiful country.

Como todos ustedes saben, soy de México! Nací y crecí en Tampico . Aunque he vivido en Utah durante los últimos 7 años, México siempre esta en mi corazón por muchas razones. Razón # 1 y la más importante, que toda mi familia vive alla! pero este post no se trata de ellos. Decidí escribir acerca de 7 razones por las que debes de visitar este hermoso país.

People:
Mexican people are welcoming, friendly, smiley and they are all about making you feel at home. They like talking! if you don’t speak spanish and are afraid to communicate, language will never a be barrier for them! they are always looking for ways to make you laugh and have a good time. I am telling you, everywhere you go, someone will be there willing to lend a helping hand.

Gente:
La gente mexicana es acogedora, amable, sonriente y solo quieren hacerte sentir como en casa. Les gusta hablar! si no hablas español y tienes miedo de comunicarte, el idioma nunca será una barrera para ellos! siempre están buscando maneras de hacerte reír y pasar un buen rato. Te estoy diciendo, donde quiera que vayas, alguien estará allí dispuesto a echarte la mano.

Food:
Five words: Mexican food is the best! it’s all about freshness, flavors, diversity, textures, quality, spiciness, and most of the times based on corn. Whether you have $1 or $100 to spend, you know you are going to get good food. You will never see a restaurant table without at least 3 hot sauces to season your food. Street vending is very popular! in Mexico you will find all sort of different foods… snacks, fresh juices, smoothies, tacos, full dishes, desserts… YOU name it. Also, Mexico is home to the creation of chocolate.

Comida:
Cinco palabras: comida mexicana es la mejor! frescura, sabores, diversidad, texturas, calidad, sabor picante, y la mayoría de las veces basada en maíz. No importa cuando tengas para gastar, si tienes $1 o hasta $100, sabes que vas a comer bien. Nunca vas a ver una mesa de restaurante sin al menos 3 salsas para sazonar tus alimentos. Comer en la calle es muy popular! en México encontrarás todo tipo de alimentos diferentes… bocadillos, jugos naturales, tacos, comidas completas, postres… lo que sea. Además, México es el hogar de la creación de chocolate.

 

Architectural Ruins:
Did you know that Mexico is home to some of the coolest archaeological sites in the whole world?! Thousands of pyramids make Mexico’s landscape remarkable. Last Christmas break I visited El Tajin in the state of Veracruz with my best friends. I remember the last time I was there like ten years ago or more. I was younger and didn’t really comprehend the knowledge and vision of this place, until my last visit. Last summer I also visited Tulum on the caribbean sea in the state of Quintana Roo. These ruins will really take your breath away!

Ruinas:
¿Sabías que México tiene algunos de los sitios arqueológicos más padres de todo el mundo?! Miles de pirámides hacen el paisaje de México notable. En mis ultimas vacaciones de Navidad visité El Tajin en el estado de Veracruz. La última vez que estuve allí fue hace diez años o más. Era más joven y realmente no comprendía el conocimiento y la visión de este lugar, hasta mi última visita. El verano pasado visité también Tulum en el mar Caribe en el estado de Quintana Roo. Estas ruinas de verdad te dejarán con la boca abierta!

Xcaret:
If you have never been to Xcaret let me tell you this place is P-A-R-A-D-I-S-E on earth. Xcaret is a natural park with more than 40 attractions such as Mayan ruins, Mexican Folk Art Museum, traditional Hacienda, among others. Xcaret’s main attractions it’s the pre-Hispanic dance show with more than 300 artists on stage. Some activities to do include to swim underground rivers, stroll trails in the middle of the jungle, explore caves, fauna that inhabits the park; like deers, Jaguars, flamingos and exotic birds.
I got to swim with dolphins! It was one of the coolest things I have ever done!

Si nunca has estado en Xcaret déjame decirte que este lugar es el P-A-R-A-I-S-O en la tierra. Xcaret es un parque natural con más de 40 atracciones, como las ruinas mayas, Museo de Arte Popular Mexicano, tradicional Hacienda, entre otras. Una de las principales atracciones de Xcaret es el espectáculo de danza prehispánica con más de 300 artistas en escena. Algunas de las actividades que puedes hacer es nadar ríos subterráneos, pasear senderos en medio de la selva, explorar cuevas, fauna que habita en el parque; como venados, jaguares, flamencos y aves exóticas.
Cuando estuve en Xcaret nade con delfines! Fue una de las cosas mas padres que he hecho!

Culture:
The capital of Mexico is the city with the BIGGEST concentration of museums in the entire world! where you can see everything from ancient Olmec heads to the most modern art. For culture of another kind, vibrant different cultures exist from different regions of Mexico having traditions on clothing, food and customs.

La capital de México es la ciudad con la concentración más grande de museos en el mundo entero! donde se puede ver de todo, desde antiguas cabezas olmecas hasta el arte mas moderno. También hay culturas de diferentes regiones de México que tiene diferentes tradiciones de ropa, comida y costumbres.

History:
Mexico’s history is fascinating and spreads all over the country. You will find well-preserved historical sites everywhere in Mexico like cathedrals, Teotihuacan (another archeological site) or one of the seven new wonders of the world: Chichen Itza. They all tell the tales of what Mexico was a long time ago. After all these years of living in United States, many people from other countries have told me that Mexico has the most interesting and rich history… and they have also told me that not even the history of United States is that interesting.

Historia:
La historia de México es fascinante y esta en todo el país. Puedes encontrar sitios históricos bien conservados por todas partes en México como catedrales, Teotihuacan (otro sitio arqueológico) o una de las siete nuevas maravillas del mundo: Chichén Itzá. Todos cuentan los diferentes historias de lo que México fue hace mucho tiempo. Despues de todos estos años de vivir en Estados Unidos, muchas personas de otros paises me han dicho que México tiene la historia más interesante y rica y que ni siquiera la historia de Estados Unidos es tan interesante como la de Mexico.

Holidays:
Mexican people like to party! We like to celebrate everything! If you visit Mexico during a holiday, you will have the time of your life. Our most famous holiday and biggest cultural experience in Mexico is the Day of the Dead – Dia de los Muertos. This holiday takes place on November 1 & 2. We honor dead relatives and friends with candles, food, flower offerings and altars.

Dias festivos:
A los mexicanos nos gusta ir de fiesta! Nos gusta celebrar todo! Si visitas México durante días festivos, de verdad te vas a divertir. Nuestro dia festivo más famoso y con mayor experiencia cultural en México es el Dia de los Muertos. Se celebra el 1 y 2 de noviembre. Honramos parientes muertos y amigos con velas, comida, ofrendas de flores y altares.
