What are cyanotypes?

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, also known as blueprints. It was Anna Atkins who brought this to photography, she is consider the first female photographer. Go Anna!

Cianotipia (no estoy segura que así se diga en español) es un proceso de impresión fotográfico que produce una impresión azul. Ingenieros utilizaron este proceso en la antigüedad como un proceso simple y de bajo costo para producir copias de dibujos, también conocidos como cianotipo (blue print). Fue Anna Atkins quien trajo esto a la fotografía, es considerada la primer mujer fotógrafa!
